Andrew Huyser, Ex-Sully Area Resident, Dies
Sully – J. Andrew Huyser, 84, of 406 Independence St., Pella, a resident of the Sully community for 16 years, died Sunday at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Second Christian Reformed Church in Pella.
The Rev. Henry Petersen, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Military graveside rites will be conducted at the Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.
Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions to the Christian Opportunity Center at Pella will be accepted.
Survivors are his wife, Henrietta; a daughter, Betty H. Huyser of Pella; a sister, Mrs. Joe H. (Lena) Vande Kieft of Pella; and a brother, Anthony Huyser of Pella.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, John William in 1954, two sisters and a brother.
Mr. Huyser, a veteran of World War I, was a member of the Second Christian Reformed Church of Pella and a former member of the Sully Christian Reformed Church.
He was born near Pella.
He was married to Henrietta Blom June 16, 1926 near Peoria.
