Anna’s memorial service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 24th at the funeral home. Conducted by Pastor Dan Jordan, Chaplain at Newton Village in Newton.

The family will greet friends following the memorial service with a light lunch at the funeral home.

A private family burial will be held.

Memorials to the American Cancer Society may be left at or mailed to the funeral home. Please put, Attention: Morgan family on the envelope.

Anna Mae Wallace Morgan, the daughter of George Wilson and Edith Florence Wagstaff Wallace was born on September 15, 1932 in Fairview Township of Jasper County, Iowa on the family farm. She grew up in the Monroe, Iowa area. Anna went kindergarten through 8th grade at the Enterprise Elementary and then attended Monroe High School.

On April 9, 1949, Anna was united in marriage with Hollis “Bill” Morgan in Newton, Iowa. They were blessed with three children, David, Don and Debra. Anna worked as a cashier at the Capital Theatre in Newton for 40+ years. She was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Newton, where she was a Sunday school teacher. Anna had been a Blue Bird leader for her daughter and a scorekeeper for her son’s Little League baseball games. Anna loved being with her family. She was a loving and caring wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend.

Anna died on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Newton Health Care Center in Newton surrounded by the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her 10 siblings.

Those left to cherish Anna’s memory are her children, David (Peggy) Morgan of Colfax, Don Morgan of Newton and Debra (Jim) Reiss of Post Falls, Idaho; four grandchildren and her eight great-grandchildren.
