Illness Fatal to Mrs. C. H. Jasper
Dies Yesterday Afternoon After An Illness of a Few Weeks
Mrs. Charles H. Jasper died yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at her home in Cardinal Court, following an illness of several weeks. She was 59 years of age.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Congregational church with Dr. G. C. Williams, pastor of the church in charge. Burial will be in the Newton cemetery.
Mrs. Jasper was the daughter of Hess and Mary Widell Parsons, and was born at Malaka farm near Newton, Ia., on April 7, 1870. Her entire life has been spent in or near Newton.
On Nov. 1, 1893 Lulu Parsons was united in marriage to Charles H. Jasper, who survives her. To this union four children were born. Lucile Jasper Gridley of Beaver, Penn., Irene Jasper Sloanaker of Cambridge, Mass., Hess Parsons Jasper of Newton and Myra Jasper who preceded her in death in May of 1918.
She is also survived by one sister, Peryl Parsons Parvin of Newton; three grandchildren, and an uncle W. K. Widell of Newton, and two aunts, Mrs. F. R. Witmer of Newton and Mrs. Etta Clark of North Yakama, Wash.
Mrs. Jasper was a member of the Congregational church and was active in all phases of church life. She was also affiliated with chapter A.O.P.E.O., D.A.R., Twentieth Century club and Eastern Star.

Funeral services for Mrs. Charles H. Jasper who died at her home in Cardinal Court Thursday afternoon will be held at the Congregational church tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock with Dr. G. C. Williams, pastor of the church in charge. Burial will be in the Newton cemetery.
Music will be furnished by Fred Hough.

Music was furnished by Fred Hough who sang two vocal solos, “Going Home” and “Face to Face.”
