Beauford Johnson Dies Early Today
Beauford Earl Johnson, 63, of 1422 First Ave. East, a resident of Newton for 31 years, died Wednesday morning at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. Roy Nelson, pastor of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wallace Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Thursday.
Survivors are his wife, Margaret; three sons, Robert Johnson, David McMain and Brad McMain, all of Houston, Tex.; four daughters, Darlene Johnson of Colfax, Mrs. Tim (Candi) Nelson of Newton, Mrs. William (Mary Ann) Shaw of Newton; and Mrs. Don (Judy) Robertson of Mesa, Ariz.; and 10 grandchildren.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Henry (Frances) Pratt of Colfax; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Lillian Nelson of Newton; and his step-father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Rose of Colfax.
