JOEY VANDER LINDEN

Emma Joan Vos was born on February 17, 1931, to John and Agnes (Sjaardema) Vos at the Southwoods Dairy in Pella, which her parents started. On May 27, 1950, she was united in marriage with Duane C. Vander Linden, they met at the Pella bowling alley. To this union three children were born: Douglas Jay on March 31, 1952; David Joel on January 1, 1956; and Judith Diane on January 09, 1965. They began farming near Pella and in 1958 they moved to the farm south of Monroe, Iowa, where she was a very devoted farmwife. She enjoyed cooking and baking for the family. She continued to live there until 2003.

Joey had many hobbies, her and Duane loved camping and most of all playing cards. Joey also enjoyed her afternoon card clubs, quilting at church, going for rides, going out to eat with her friends, loved going to family reunions and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Joey was a Charter member of the Trinity Reformed Church in Pella where she remained a faithful member the remainder of her lifetime. Joey passed away on Wednesday, February 9, at the Cottages in Pella, at the age of 90 years. Those left to honor her life are:

Of her original family she leaves her sister-in-law, Jerre Vos of Ft. Collins, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her first born son, Douglas Jay on August 23, 1978 at the age of 26 years; her husband Duane who passed away April 1, 2002, her parents John and Agnes Vos; along with her siblings; Kay Paris; Donald (Dorothy) Vos, Catherine Van Waardhuizen; Wilma (Ronald) Blanke; Dorcus King; Sib (Harold) Van Loozenoord; Bill Vos.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm. -Trinity Reformed Church, Pella, Iowa.

Private Family Burial will be made at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.

Visitation will be Monday prior to the funeral service from 12:00 to 1:45 pm at the Trinity Reformed Church in Pella.

Memorials can be given to Lake View Camp or Trinity Reformed Church in Pella.
