Kevin Meyer Dowling, 64, was born November 20, 1957, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Robert and Margaret (Meyer) Dowling.

Kevin married his best friend, Martha Thompson Dowling, in Ames, Iowa on May 20, 1988. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed outdoors, music, Iowa State athletics, golf, westerns, and keeping active. Kevin always strived to touch people's lives in a positive way. He had a gift of encouraging others to be more and do more than they could dream. He was devoted to his wife and children. He is so loved and will be so very missed.

Kevin was a faithful man who loved the Lord. He left this life for his heavenly home while surrounded by loved ones on February 23, 2022. He was greeted in Heaven by his parents, Robert and Margaret.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Martha, his daughters Shannon Dowling and Elaine Dowling, his sons Keegan Dowling and Robert Dowling, his grandchildren Kamden and Laila, his sister Christina Strange, and his many extended family and friends.

A time of remembrance and celebration of life for Kevin will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 01, 2022, at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton, with a visitation 12 noon until 1:15 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the charity of your choice.
