February 20, 1952 ~ February 21, 2022 (age 70)

Carroll Russell White, 70, of Des Moines, died on Monday, February 21, 2022, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. A graveside service at Pine Hill Cemetery in Des Moines will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Blank Children’s Hospital may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.

Carroll, the son of Clyde and Wilma (Weesner) White, Sr., was born on February 20, 1952 in Waterloo. He grew up in Altoona and graduated from SE Polk High School in 1970. He later received his AA in Information Technology from DMACC. In June of 1971, he was united in marriage with Joann Mentzer at the Simpson Church in Des Moines. The majority of their lives were spent living in Des Moines. Carroll enjoyed NASCAR, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and the Chicago Cubs.

Carroll is survived by his sons, Patrick (Veronica) White of Newton and Matthew White (Diane Teppert) of Pella; grandchildren, Michael (Sierra) White, Michelle White, and Vivian White; his great-grandson, Theodore; siblings, Pam (Steve) Cervi, Phyllis Culver, and Janet White; and his sister-in-law, Norma Neve. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joann White; daughter, Michelle White; and siblings, Vic “Herb” Neve, Clyde “Tom” White, Jr., Sharon Coffman, and Jim White.
