Neva Meriweather, 79, of Pleasantville died of pneumonia Friday at Pleasant Care Nursing Home there, where she had lived three years. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville, with burial at Graceland Cemetery.

Mrs. Meriweather was born in Gosport and lived in the Knoxville area many years. She operated the Made-Rite restaurant in Knoxville for several years.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Pierce of Brooklyn; three sons, Ronald of Knoxville, Paul of Newton and Robert of Lake Forest, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
