Violet Loraine Frazier
July 19, 1944 - January 11, 2022

Violet Loraine Frazier, age 77 of Des Moines, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Taylor House in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. Visitation will take place also on Saturday from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. Memorials may be directed to Hope Lodge in Iowa City and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The daughter of Foster Wayne and LaVonne Doris (Karfenheuser) Ferrar, Loraine was born on July 19, 1944 in Prairie City, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Milford Duane Frazier in 1974. She worked at the Iowa Press Clipping Bureau for many years. Lorraine loved to read, watching the wildlife, especially bird watching but her greatest joy came from the time spent with her family.

Those left to honor her memory include her step children, Rebecca Kenney, Rochelle Frazier, James (Cinda) Frazier and Michael (Laura) Frazier; 24 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Sharon Ferrar. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, daughter, Deb Zern; two sons, Dale Frazier and Ronald St. Johns, Jr. a great granddaughter, two sisters, Marlena in infancy and Shirley Orndorff and a brother, Robert Ferrar.
