Marion Eubank, Longtime Mingo Resident, Dies
Mingo – Marion Eubank, 74, of Mingo, longtime resident of the Mingo and Ira communities, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday after suffering a heart attack while mowing his lawn.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Mingo Methodist Church. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery at Ira.
Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home at Baxter is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife, Iva; two sons, William of Waterloo and Harold of Pontiac, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Marion (Louise) Henry of Davenport and Mrs. Glen (Ruth) Noring of Mingo; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, Guy of Franklin, Ark., and Benjamin of Ridgecrest, Calif., and a half-brother, Raymond of Jacksonville, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter in infancy; a sister and a brother.
Mr. Eubank was a member of the Ira Christian Church.
The son of William and Arlena Eubank, he was born in August 1890 at Mt. Carmel, Ill., and was educated in rural schools.
He was married to Elizabeth Obenchain in 1911 and she died in 1914.
Mr. Eubank, who moved to the Mingo area in 1915, was married to Iva Campbell April 1, 1917 at Newton and they farmed near Ira until 1928 when they moved to a farm west of Mingo.
After retiring in 1958, they moved to Mingo.
