Mrs. William Byal Dies at Colfax; Rites Saturday
Colfax – Mrs. William (Mittie Annis) Byal, 89, a resident of Colfax since 1936, died at 9 p.m. Thursday at her home in Colfax.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Walters funeral home in Colfax.
The Rev. N. G. Clayton, minister of the Colfax Christian church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Union Chapel cemetery near Ira.
Memorials to the heart fund will be accepted in Mrs. Byal’s memory.
Mrs. Byal is survived by her husband, William; a daughter, Wilda Byal, former principal of the Colfax elementary school; two sons, Roscoe and Hugh Byal, both of Mingo; and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Byal was a member of the Christian church at Ira.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Miller, she was born February 7, 1872 in Michigantown, Ind.
She was married February 12, 1896 to William J. Byal at the home of her parents in Mingo. The couple celebrated its sixty-fifth wedding anniversary recently.
