Maggie E. Weldon Dies at Hospital; In Area Since 1919
Maggie Estella Weldon, 80, of route one, Colfax, died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Skiff Memorial hospital.
Funeral services tentatively have been set for 2 p.m. Friday at the Johnson funeral home.
Mrs. Weldon is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Russell (Melba) Gildersleeve of Kellogg, Mrs. Royce (Lucille) Robbins of Columbus, N.M., and Helen Weldon at home; four sons, Conrad and Lyle of rural Colfax and Lloyd and John of Newton; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The daughter of Michael and Margaret Crees, she was born November 20, 1879 at Grand River, Iowa.
Educated in Grand River schools, she moved to Newton in 1919 and had resided in this area since.
