Sandra Kay Garr, 51, of Newton died on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Memorials in Sandra’s name (made payable to Lloyd Garr) may be left at the funeral home.

Sandra, the daughter of Junior E. and Norma L. (Ibbitson) Garr, was born on May 13, 1970, in Newton, Iowa. She graduated from Newton High School in 1988. Sandra worked as a cashier at Walmart and was a security guard for several years. She was very religious and even became ordained to perform ceremonies, like weddings. Sandra also loved animals, especially cats.

Sandra is survived by her children, Chaya J. Haldeman and Patrick E. Garr and her brother, Lloyd E. Garr, all of Newton. She was preceded in death by her parents.
