Docia Hayes Is Dead at 92
Mrs. Docia A. Hayes, 92, formerly of Mitchellville and Runnells, died Friday at the Clear View Manor Home in Prairie City. Born in Verdon, Neb., she had lived in Iowa since she was 3.
Mrs. Hayes was a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Mitchellville and the Mitchellville Christian Church. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Moffitt funeral Home in Mitchellville.
She is survived by a son, Bryan Hayes of Mitchellville; five daughters, Mrs. Ruth Deer and Mrs. Blanche Gulling of Runnells, Mrs. Lucille Van Maren and Mrs. Grace Morain of Des Moines, and Mrs. Margaret Ward of Mitchellville; 15 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
