Grace Brunner, 90, Lifelong Resident, Dies at Hospital
Mrs. Valentine (Grace Dell) Brunner, 90, of Prairie City, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, died Sunday at the Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Walters Funeral Home in Prairie City.
Evangelist V. M. Gilbert of the Cap Center Church of Christ, south of Prairie City, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Survivors are a son, Cecil of Prairie City; a granddaughter, Mrs. Bob (Donna) Russell of Colfax; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in April 1959.
The daughter of Robert Lafayette and Maria Anderson, she was born Dec. 24, 1877 near Vandalia.
She was married to Valentine Brunner Feb. 6, 1901 at Monroe. After her marriage she moved to Prairie City where she lived the rest of her life.
