Jayne Youngberg, 63, of the Hancock, Mich., area, passed away at her home with family by her side Monday, Oct. 18, 2021.
Jayne was born June 22, 1958, in Red Oak, to Robert “Bob” and Ruth Youngberg. Jayne was the sparkle of her family’s eye and was included in every family activity. Jayne enjoyed traveling with the family and in later years to Michigan to see her sister, brother-in-law and all her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In 1964, the family moved from Red Oak to Newton, for Jayne’s schooling. In 1996, the family moved to Midland, Texas where Jayne’s parents retired. After Jayne’s mother passed away in 2020, Jayne and her sister Joann moved to the Hancock, Mich., area to be by family.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1999 and mother in 2020. She was also preceded in death by grandparents, Arthur and Agnes Youngberg and Harry and Leora Walker.
Jayne is survived by her sisters, JoAnn of Hancock, Mich., and Jeann (Roy) Hicks of Hancock, Mich.; niece, Michelle (Steve) LaCourt of Hancock; nephews, Alan Hicks of Egg Harbor, Wis., and Thomas Hicks of South Range, Mich.; great-nephews and great-nieces, Christian, Devyn, Sydney, Hunter, and Forrest LaCourt and Gaige, Avianna and Kayden Hicks. She is also survived by uncle and aunt, Bob (Shirley) Walker of Midland, Texas; aunt, Rosemary Celia of Richardson, Texas; and by many cousins.
Local arrangements are being handled by the O’Neill-Dennis Funeral Home of Hancock, Mich., and final arrangements are pending at the Ellis Funeral Home in Midland, Texas. To leave online condolences, please go to oneilldennisfh.com.
