Daniel Patrick Brewer, 68, passed away Oct. 12, 2021, at Mercy Hospice Newton.
Dan was born April 2, 1953, to Robert Earl Brewer Jr and Patricia Ann (Carlisle) Brewer. He grew up on the south side of Des Moines and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1971 and Upper Iowa University in 1993.
Dan enjoyed golfing and watching sports, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes. Dan also enjoyed music, including playing guitar and piano.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; his sister; and a grandson. He is survived by his sons, Blake and Justin Brewer; daughter, Brittany Hickman; brother, Mark Brewer; and their families. Also left to remember Dan is his extended family and friends.
