Ada B. Blood, 96, of Carlisle Care Center, Carlisle, who suffered from intestinal ailments, died Monday, May 26, at the center. Services were held Thursday, May 29, at Runnells Christian Church. Burial was in Vandalia Cemetery in Vandalia.
Mrs. Blood was born in Hawkins County, TN. She had been a farm homemaker and was a member of Runnells Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Elmer of Mitchellville, and Melvin of Des Moines; two daughters, Gladys Gulling and Helen White, both of Runnells; 19 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church or the Runnells Volunteer Fire Department.
