Services for Ira R. Lowe, 84, of 2110 E. Thirteenth St., who died Sunday at Veterans Administration Medical Center, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Grandview Funeral Home. Burial will be at Vandalia Cemetery.
Mr. Lowe was a lifelong Des Moines resident and an Army veteran of World War I. He owned and operated a laundry here for many years and later worked as a security guard and elevator operator.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; a son, James of Des Moines; a daughter, Jeannie Dunn of Houston, Texas; and three grandsons.
Friends may call at the funeral home between noon and 9 p.m. today.
