Robert Leroy Keuning
February 4, 1932 - September 17, 2021

Robert Leroy Keuning, age 89 of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 17, 2021 at his home. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 3:00 pm at the Monroe Presbyterian Church. The family will greet following the service from 4:00 - 6:00pm at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Monroe Presbyterian Church or the Monroe Ambulance. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The son of Henry and Tena (Van Zommeren) Keuning, Bob was born on February 4, 1932 in Newton. He attended Monroe Schools. Bob served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On November 23, 1961, he was united in marriage to Eunice Verschuure at the Christian Reformed Church in Prairie City. Bob farmed during his lifetime. He served as a 4H leader and also one term on the Monroe School Board.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Eunice; two sons, Brian (Peggy) Keuning and Mike (Kathy) Keuning; four grandchildren, Kelli (Clinton) Eshelman, Lucas (Nicole) Keuning, Colton (Ashlee) Keuning and Chase Keuning; two great grandchildren, Mason and Jayden and his brother, Ray (Petra) Keuning. He was preceded in death by his parents.
