Lee A. Renfro Dies on Sunday; Rites Wednesday
Colfax – Lee Arney Renfro, 72, a longtime Colfax resident, died Sunday afternoon at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. John McKinstry, pastor of the Colfax Christian Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the McKeever Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Survivors are his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Connie) Stevens of Newton and Mrs. Gary (Diana) Findley of Rt. 2, Mitchellville; a granddaughter; and a brother, Russell of Colfax.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Raymond.
Mr. Renfro was a member of the Colfax Christian Church and the American Legion.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Renfro had been in the construction industry and later operated a taxi business in Colfax.
The son of George and Bonnie Arney Renfro, he was born April 17, 1910 in Princeton, Mo., and was educated in Missouri schools.
He was married to Shirley Nigh Dec. 24, 1937 in Princeton.
