August 9, 1926 ~ August 26, 2021 (age 95)

Betty I. Warner, 95, of Newton died on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Newton Health Care Center. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021, at the Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City. Memorials to Crestview Hospice or in Betty’s name (checks made payable to Judy Farr) may be left at the funeral home.

Betty, the daughter of Armintus K. and Lenora (Currier) Stockwell, was born on August 9, 1926 in Grant County, Oklahoma near Deer Creek. She was raised by her maternal grandmother. On January 31, 1946, Betty was united in marriage with Daryl M. Warner in Winfield, Kansas. They lived in Mitchellville, Iowa and other places around the state until making their home in Baxter in 1959. Betty was a member of the Ira United Church. She enjoyed camping, gardening, canning, and crocheting.

Those left to honor Betty’s memory are her daughter, Judy (Tony) Farr of Newton; daughter-in-law, Pearl “Punk” Warner of Baxter; five grandchildren, Tonia Tinius (Lando Holmes) of Baxter, Don Warner (Jeanne Lane) of Baxter, Lane (Jasper) Tratchel of Gibsonville, North Carolina, Bode Farr of St. Cloud, Minnesota, and Callie (Josh) Fontenette of Ankeny; her nine great-grandchildren, Amber (Ross) Andy (Erica), Harlen, Cody (Liz), Jaxon, Rowan, Atticus, J.J., and Amari; and six great-grandchildren, Reese, Blake, Xavier, Nova, Weston, and Eleanor. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daryl M. Warner; two sons, Harlen and Jerry; four daughters, Linda, Karen, Donna, and Carolyn; a great-grandson in infancy; and a sister in infancy.
