Danny Lee Hutchins, 56, of Newton died on Monday, August 23, 2021, at his home. A celebration of life visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, August 27, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials in Danny’s name (checks made payable to Jesse Hutchins) may be left at the funeral home.

Danny, the son of Dave and Maxine (Hess) Hutchins, was born on March 2, 1965 in Des Moines. He grew up in Ankeny and graduated from Ankeny High School. Danny served his country in the U.S. Marines for four years. After the service he lived for many years in Knoxville until recently moving to Newton. Danny worked as a truck driver for Katana in Indianola. He enjoyed sprint cars, motorcycles, and driving truck.

Danny is survived by his children, Jesse Hutchins of Newton, Clint (Haley) Hutchins Bailey of Albany, Missouri, and Bailey Hutchins of Albany, Missouri and his grandchildren, Paisley, Brylee, Phoenix, and Tucker. He was preceded in death by his parents.
