September 29, 1941 - August 10, 2021

Harold Thomas "Bud" Wilson, 79, of Colfax, Iowa, died from cancer complications, on August 10, 2021.

Harold is survived by his son, Brian (Shelly), of Spencer; son, Tim (Tracey), of Colfax; daughter, Jennifer (Jim), of Des Moines; daughter, Stephanie (Justin), of Ankeny; siblings Janet, Kathy, and Tom; 11 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, nephews, nieces, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Paula Ann Wilson, and his parents, Harry and Irene Wilson.

Bud was an outdoorsman and back-porch sitter, a woodworker and community booster. He never missed one of his kids' games. He was a faithful servant of Immaculate Conception Church in Colfax. He loved to preside over family gatherings, cranking out homemade ice cream when he could. Before his retirement, he worked for Maytag as an industrial engineer.

A special thank you to Brian and Shelly Wilson, and Tom Wilson, for their loving care at the end of Dad's life.

A visitation that is open to the public will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Colfax on Wednesday, August 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a recitation of the rosary at 5:30, preceding the service.

There will be a private family service on Thursday, August 19, at 10 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Church in Colfax. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome in Bud's name to Iowa Pheasants Forever (https://www.iowapf.net/) or St. Jude's Children's Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/).
