Larry A. Sandberg August 7, 2021 Larry A. Sandberg, 81, of Lake Mary, FL, died Saturday, August 7, 2021, at home with his family. A memorial service will be at a later date, through Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home.

Larry, the son of Clarence and Lorraine (Jensen) Sandberg, was born October 26, 1939, in Kasson, Minn. Graduated from Newton High School in 1957. He was united in marriage with Elsie Duchesneau December 27, 1958, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton, Iowa.

They were blessed with five children, Teresa, Julie, Carol, Larry (Slugger), and Kristin (deceased). Larry served in the United States Navy for 20 years as a Nuclear Weapons Officer, while graduating from University of Kansas in 1968 BA Art & Math and Oklahoma & Chapman Universities 1986 MA Science - Human Relations/Resources. After retirement he worked for Martin Marietta and Universal Studios as a Project planner. Larry also taught many workshops and courses in Transactional Analysis both in the military and through his own company throughout his lifetime.

Larry enjoyed watching his favorite teams, Kansas Jayhawks, and the Seattle Seahawks, he also enjoyed traveling, submarine reunions, golf and spending time with his family and friends. Those left to honor Larry’s memory are his wife Elsie (Duchesneau) Sandberg of Lake Mary, FL, his children, Teresa Gagne of Longwood, FL, Julie Sandberg of Lake Mary, FL, Carol (David) Keller of Kennesaw, GA, and Larry (Tonya) Sandberg of Deltona, FL. Larry’s sister Mary Ann (Lonny) Cox of Newton, Iowa. Grandchildren, Lindsey (Eric) Shiner, Sean Gagne, Joshua (Victoria) Sandberg, Travis (Justine) Sandberg, David Jacob (Sarah) Keller, Taylor Keller, Nicholas Keller, and seven great grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Kristin Sandberg.
