Jerry Duane Koder, Jr.
November 6, 1963 - August 7, 2021

Jerry Duane Koder Jr., 57, of Monroe passed away on Saturday, August 7th, 2021. A celebration of life will be held on August 29th at 1 pm at the Monroe Legion. In place of flowers the family ask that memorials be sent to Brittany Hitze.

The son of Jerry Koder Sr and Dorthy Hudson, Jerry was born on November 6th, 1963. He graduated from Prairie City High School in 1982. Jerry joined the Army National Guard after high school and was honorably discharged.

Jerry worked as a millwright for many years then went on to be a semi driver doing numerous jobs. Jerry was recently employed at Van Ryswyk Plumbing and Heating. Jerry was a jack of all trades and could work with any task you put in front of him. Jerry loved fishing and hunting and was very proud to tell his stories of all his experiences. Jerry used to work on and drive stock cars in his younger years. Jerry was never afraid to speak his mind and let anyone know how it is.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother Dorothy Elaine (Arnold) Cassady, four siblings Cathy (Bud) Hiemstra and family, Jeff (Julie) Koder and family, Mark Koder and family, Stephanie Roam and family; four children Jennifer (John) McCormick, Seth (Mollie) Comly, Tyler Koder, Brittany (Wesley) Hitze; fourteen grandchildren Rae, Alicha, Camilla, Miley, Xavier, Hazel, Olivia, Jaydon, Datrien, Mia, Freddy, Aaliyah, Kamryn, and Zuri; eight Aunts Billie Neff and family, Judi (Dharl) Bagley and family, Janice King and family, Lorrie (Mike) Bjorgo and family, Wanda Hudson and family, Tami (Tim) Counts and family, Sheryl Ferguson and family, Sandy Davis and family; four Uncles Jimmy ( Cindy ) Hudson and family, Ronald Hudson and family, Rex ( Stacy ) Hudson and family, Gene ( Lorna ) Koder and family; numerous Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces, and Great-Nephews; Preceding Jerry in death were his grandparents John and Dorothy Hudson and Elvin and Catheryne Koder; His father Jerry Koder Sr; His son Gage Koder; His Uncles Johnny Hudson, Jim Ferguson, Melvin Davis, Gene Carlson, and Rodney King; and cousin Teresa Gadberry.
