The funeral of Mrs. Lewis Schroyer was held at Ira Christian church Saturday May 10, at 10 a.m., by Rev. E. P. Williamson, pastor, and interment was at Kintz cemetery.
Lydia Neal was the second daughter of Henry Neal and wife former residents of this community. She was united by marriage to Lewis Schroyer about 13 years ago and the most of the time they have lived in their own cozy home on North Center street, Marshalltown, Iowa.
A little nephew (adopted son) Charles, her husband, two sisters, three brothers and her mother are her nearest surviving relatives. She submitted on Tuesday, May 6, to a surgical operation for relief from cancer and died on the 8th.
Those from a distance attending the funeral were her sister, Della and husband, of Des Moines; John and Chas. Neal; her brothers, Melvin Schroyer and wife; Mrs. Esau Koon, the bereft husband and little son all of Marshalltown.
