Mrs. Lewis (Louise Ellen) Garrington, 84, of 125 E. 11th St. S., A resident of Newton since 1928, died Wednesday afternoon, June 20, at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.

The Rev. Ray Barnett, pastor of the First Christian Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Friday, June 22.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. David (Wilma) Harrington of Newton; a granddaughter; two great grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Holmes of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Jean Quinn of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Theresa Raymie of Albia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1954 and brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Garrington, a member of the First Christian Church, was a former employee of the Maytag CO Automatic Washer and the Stockton bakery.

The daughter of Peter and Mary Hoffman Remmark, she was born in Monroe County.
