Wilma J. (Garrington) Harrington
March 6, 1936 ~ October 8, 2002 (age 66)

Wilma J. Harrington, the daughter of Lewis and Louise Remark Garrington, was born on March 6, 1936 in Albia, Iowa. She graduated from Newton High School in the class of 1954.

On June 21, 1969, Wilma was united in marriage with David Harrington in Newton. Wilma worked at Plant 2 for the Maytag Company for 26 years retiring in 1992. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Newton. Wilma was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Wilma died on Tuesday, October 8, 2002, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. She was 66. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents and husband, David, in 1994.

Those left to honor her memory are her daughter, Susan LaValley, of Austin, Texas and 2 grandchildren, Mara LaValley, of Austin and, Alex LaValley, of Annapolis, Maryland. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 08 Oct 2002.
