Pat, formerly of Newton, passed from this life on Saturday evening, May 29, 2021, at her home in Lakeland, Florida.

Patricia Mae Hennon, 87, was born January 16, 1934, in Newton, daughter of Boyce Elwood and Eula Vivian (Sutton) Carpenter. She graduated from the Newton Senior High, Class of 1952.

On February 10, 1956, Pat was united in marriage with Mannie R. Hennon in Des Moines. She was employed as a word processor/compilater for a phone directory company. Pat was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She had lived in Iowa, Michigan and Minnesota, and enjoyed life having been Born Again and a member of the Body of Christ.

Pat is survived by her son Rodney Lee (Phyllis) Hennon, their children: Mathew, Marcus and Melissa and their granddaughter Madilyn; her two daughters: Lisa Mae Hennon, and DeSaRee Mae (Tom) Davis, their children: Lydia and Eli; her sister Barb Wisgerhof; and her many good neighbors and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mannie; a sister Norma Case; a brother Robert Elwood Carpenter; and a brother-in-law Ken Wisgerhof.

A time of remembrance and celebration of life will be held at a later date, at the Pence – Reese Funeral Home in Newton, with a visitation an hour prior to the services. {Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, facemasks are optional, but encouraged at the services.}

Burial will be in the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to her family, in honor of Pat.
