Prairie City News, Feb. 20. – Tuesday night’s train from the west brought the remains of S. M. Curry. Mr. Curry formerly lived in Mound Prairie township, and was a brother of George Curry. He moved to Guthrie county some time ago. About five weeks ago he was taken down with what was supposed to be typhoid fever, but his illness soon developed into quick consumption. He died the latter part of last week, but owing to the blockade, his remains could not be brought here until Tuesday night.
Funeral services were held Wednesday by Rev. McDade at the residence of George Curry in Mound Prairie township. In this death another family circle has been broken; the husband and father has been taken away at a time when he was most needed.
