The death of Mrs. John Hadsall occurred at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at her home, in the east part of town from heart failure. She was preparing to go to visit her parents a few blocks away and was taken suddenly with a pain about the heart; a physician was called but she was beyond human aid and passed away in a few minutes after his arrival leaving a baby but two weeks old.
Mary Jane Dunton was born July 2, 1879, and was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Dunton, who have lived in this community since 1886. She was married to John Hadsall January 24, 1906, died February 24th, 1907. Funeral services were held from the Christian church, of which she had been a member on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Alvin Macy, of Des Moines conducting the services which were largely attended by neighbors and friends of the bereaved families.
Much sympathy is expressed for Mr. Hadsall who has been sorely afflicted, his first wife died just two years ago under particularly sad conditions leaving a family of seven children. His last companion was greatly loved by his children and had blessed his home by her devotion and love. The body was taken to Mitchellville for burial.
