Clear Creek News – Funeral services for C. P. Miller were conducted from the home Sunday afternoon by Rev. Abe Kern of Collins. Interment at Kentz. Perry Miller passed on at the M.E. hospital in Des Moines May 30 where he had been ill several weeks. He was about 70 years of age and was born and reared in this township. He lived on the home of his grandfather, Joseph Kentz who was the first settler in the township. He leaves his wife and seven grown children, one sister, Mrs. Mary Sumpter, one brother Robert Miller and other relatives. His son Robert Jr. was killed in an auto accident in 1922.
