Grover Jones, Jasper County Native, Dies
Grover Jones, 68, former farmer near Newton, died yesterday of a heart attack at his Hertel, Wis., home.
Mr. Jones was born in Jasper county and lived for many years in the Sand Hill neighborhood. He farmed in Wisconsin when he moved there with his family several years ago.
He is survived by his widow, the former Faye Kendig of Newton; a daughter, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Mrs. A. A. Southern of Newton, and Mrs. Roy Weston of Mingo; and three brothers, John, Charlie and Zenas, all of Newton. A fourth brother preceded him in death.
Funeral arrangements are not complete.

Jones Rites Are Held at Baxter
Baxter – Funeral services for Grover Jones, 68, former Jasper county farmer who died at his home near Shell Lake, Wis., Sunday, were held today at the Boyd Funeral Home at Baxter.
A native of Jasper county, he resided in the Ira community before moving to Wisconsin several years ago.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter; a granddaughter, a great-grandchild and two sisters, Mrs. A. A. Southern of Newton and Mrs. Roy Weston of Mingo; and three brothers, John, Charlie and Zenas, all of Newton.
