VALATIE, N.Y. -- Ruth Gulling, 88, of Valatie, N.Y., formerly of Prairie City, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, at Barnwell Health Facilities in Valatie, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home in Valatie, N.Y., with the Rev. Nate Meldrim officiating. Burial will be at Kinderhook Cemetery in Kinderhook, N.Y.

Visitation will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The daughter of Alfred B. and Emma (McKinley) Curry, she was born April 9, 1916, in Runnells. She was a homemaker and worked at Prairie City High School and at the Prairie City Nursing Home.

Survivors include a daughter, Ramona Denbesten of Valatie, N.Y.; a son, Ronald Gulling of Newton; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ross.
