KELLOGG -- Margaret C. "Peggy" Drum, 81, of Kellogg, formerly of Mesa, Ariz., died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, in the Monarch Wing of Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. Gary Marzolf of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Her body was cremated following the service.

Memorials will be accepted to the Monarch Wing of Skiff Medical Center or to the American Cancer Society and may be left at the funeral home.

The daughter of Oscar F. and Sara C. (Yost) Oberg, she was born Nov. 18, 1922, in Bellefonte, Pa. On Aug. 12, 1950, she married Carl M. Drum in Miami, Fla., and was a homemaker. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting and crossword puzzles and was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Mesa, Ariz. She lived in Miami, Fla., for 33 years and in Mesa, Ariz., for 21 years prior to moving to Kellogg in 2000.

Survivors include a son, Jamie Drum of Kellogg; three daughters and a son-in-law, Christine Drum of Kellogg and her fiancé, Joe Froias, Lindy and Jim Blessington of Skidmore, Mo., Ilene Drum of Key Largo, Fla.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Alan L. Drum; a daughter, Charlotte R. Drum; and brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Ruth Oberg.
