MINGO — Ella Byal, 94, of Mingo died Monday, April 18, 2005, at Madrid Home in Madrid.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley. Her body was cremated. Burial will be at a later date at Union Chapel Cemetery near Mingo.

The family requests no flowers, but memorials may be given to Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley, Union Chapel and Cemetery c/o Russell Rippey, 6926 W. 88th St. N., Mingo 50168.

The daughter of Ole and Lena Legvold, she was born in 1911 in Huxley. She graduated from Huxley High School. She married Hugh D. Byal and was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a lifelong resident of rural Mingo. She was a member of Fjeldberg Lutheran Church, Martha Circle, and the United Methodist Church in Mingo.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Ole Byal and a daughter, Sandra K. Freeland; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Byal.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son-in-law, Richard Freeland; and a grandson.
