Youth, 15, Colfax, Dies
Colfax (Special to The Daily News) – Wayne Morgan, 15, son of William Morgan died at 10 o’clock Friday evening, Dec. 29, at the Colfax Sanitarium of a ruptured appendix.
Wayne was the oldest of a family of six children, who since the death of their mother about six months ago have made their home with their maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Young.
He was a member of the 7th grade and took an active interest in all school activities. Wayne was born in Colfax, March 15, 1924 and had he lived until next March would have been 16 years old.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 1 at 2 p.m. with Rev. A. A. Burr officiating.
Music was furnished by Mrs. George Rinker, Mrs. Ida Helming, Maynard and Chester Binkerd who sang “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” “The Old Rugged Cross” and “In the Garden”, Mrs. E. S. Calhoon was the pianist. Interment was in the McKeever’s cemetery.
