Baxter (Special to The Daily News) – William Frederick Seyforth, 82, a resident of Jasper county since 1875, died Monday. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Boyd Funeral home here.
Mr. Seyforth was born in Richland Center, Wis., on July 3, 1867, and spent his early days in Wisconsin, coming to Newton, Ia., with his parents at the age of 18 years. He had spent the remainder of his life in and around Newton and Baxter. He was the third son of a family of 12 children, all deceased.
In early childhood, he was baptized in the German Lutheran church and followed in that faith until his death.
