Della Denney, daughter of Robert and Ivy Denney was born March 11, 1859 on a farm east of Vandalia, Iowa. Her death occurred November 6, 1935 at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 27 days. Her sister and brother and two half-sisters preceded her in death. Being an invalid from childhood she was cared for by her mother and father until their death when her sister Nancy took up the care until her own death June 6, 1914. Then she depended on her brother Robert to provide a home until he became feeble when they both lived their niece, Mrs. Fred Rojohn until his death April 2, 1930. Since then she has remained in this home. Being born of Christian parents she believed in God and His mercy. She leaves to mourn her loss a niece, Mrs. Fred Rojohn with other relatives and friends.
The funeral was conducted by Rev. L. M. Wilkinson of Mitchellville at the Vandalia church, November 8, 1935. The interment was at the Vandalia cemetery.
