Former Newton Resident Dies At Marshalltown
H. W. Klopping of University Park, Ia., formerly of this vicinity, died at 10:15 o’clock Monday evening at the Deaconess hospital at Marshalltown.
Mr. Klopping had been visiting a son near Marshalltown and Saturday evening fell from the hay loft, fracturing several ribs and puncturing his lungs. Pneumonia developed, causing his death.
Surviving are his wife, seven children, Will of Kellogg, Mrs. Bruce Myers of Newton, Elmer of Stockton, Calif., Mrs. John Howard of Wilkes Barre, Pa., Louis of Marshalltown, Roy of Sheldon and Mrs. Wendell Sparrow of Elgin, Ill. A brother, Adolph, lived in Toledo, O.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Morgan Funeral home. Interment will be in the Newton Union cemetery.
