Monroe Items – Funeral services for Byron Jones, 16, of Blairsburg were held Saturday at the Monroe Baptist Church with Rev. H. E. Ketcham in charge. Byron was the victim of a bicycle-auto crash Wednesday evening near Blairsburg. He was a sophomore in the Monroe high school last year and a member of the FFA group. Shirley Herwehe and Gweneth Bump, former classmates, sang two numbers. The sympathy of the entire community goes to the Jones family.
