Monroe News – Miss Wilma Wolcott, 31, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Wolcott, passed away March 22 at the Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Wilma was a graduate of the Monroe High School with the class of 1929. After graduation she worked for four years in the Monroe Mirror office. On July 19 she accepted a position as stenographer for the state in the office of Iowa Old Age Assistance, which place she filled until October 1942
She was a member of the Monroe First Methodist Church and is survived by her parents, two sisters, Mrs. Louise Cash, Mrs. Miriam Huigen, two nephews, Donald Cash and Douglas Huigen, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist Church with Rev. Geo. Pennington in charge. Burial was in the Monroe cemetery.
