Cordova – Burk Jenkins was accidently killed in an automobile accident in Illinois last Saturday. His body was brought to Monroe for burial. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist church in Monroe. Rev. Carlson delivered the sermon. He leaves to mourn his death his mother, one brother, John and one sister, Virginia. The deceased had been living in Illinois about a year and his mother just recently moved there. Purl and Jim Van Hemert were two of the pallbearers. Mrs. Dewey Ford attended from here.
