January 23, 1963 - December 12, 2020

Daney (Dan) Lane Harrington, age 57 of Prairie City, passed away on Saturday, December 12th at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines due to complications with cancer. Dan was born on January 23rd of 1963 to the late Dwight and Ruby Harrington and had two older sisters Sharel Short and Debra Mitchell. He lived in Des Moines most of his life and attended East high school. He worked at Bemis for 32 years. He loved driving and fixing classic cars with his friends, especially for car shows. He also loved his family, spending time with his friends, and helping out the community.

Dan is survived by his sons, Jacob Harrington and Jared Harrington; sisters, Sharel Short (Jim) and Debra Mitchell; niece, Angelia Rogers (Clint); and nephew, Shaun Short (Toni)

A celebration of life service is to be determined but will occur tentatively in the spring/summer.
