Charlene Rae Linn, 64, of Colfax, died on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at her home. No services are scheduled at this time. The Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the arrangements.

Charlene, the daughter of Leroy W. and Marilyn (Leek) Lenz, was born on August 18, 1955 in Spirit Lake, Iowa. She grew up in Spirit Lake and graduated from Spirit Lake High School. Charlene was united in marriage with Ronald Lee Linn on October 5, 1974 in Estherville. They made their home in Estherville until 1984 when they moved to Colfax. Charlene worked as a daycare provider for many years before becoming the Housekeeping and Landry Supervisor at Mitchell Village Care Center for 18 years, retiring in 2019. She enjoyed gardening, canning, camping, and fishing. She also liked to sew and do craft projects.

Charlene is survived by her husband, Ron Linn of Colfax; children, Billie Jo (Mike) Russell of Colfax, Alan Linn of Colfax, and Ronnie Linn of Prairie City; her daughters-in-law, Lisa Linn and Carrie Beals, both of Colfax; grandchildren, Chase (Jessi) Russell, Colton Russell, Chelsea Russell, Kelsey Linn, Kaleb Linn, Danica Linn, and Cadence Linn; and her brothers, Duane (Marjie) Lenz of Marshalltown, Mike (Becky) Lenz of Cerlew, and Jerry Lenz of Schaller. She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Marlene at birth; and two sons, Jason and Darrell.
