Robert Wayne Gulling, Sr.
November 28, 1932 - August 14, 2020

Robert Wayne Gulling, Sr. age 87 of Colfax, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Newton Healthcare. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at McKeever Cemetery north of Colfax. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Memorials may be directed to the family and condolences may be left at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The son of Walter and Evelyn (Vessels) Gulling, Bob was born on November 28, 2932 in Runnells, Iowa. He graduated from Runnells High School. Bob served in the United States Army during WWII. He was united in marriage to Violet Sager in 1954. Bob worked at Maytag in Newton for 42 years. He was also a member of the Newton V.F.W.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Violet; children, Bobby (Jolie) Gulling; John (Susan) Shaffer and Brenda (Craig) Van Ryswyk; 10 grandchildren, Travis Gulling, Kennedy Gulling, Kylie Van Ryswyk, Bryce Van Ryswyk, Kaylin Van Ryswyk, Bridget (Peter) Levorson, David Shaffer, Dennis Caldwell, Jamie Caldwell, Jenni Caldwell; nine great grandchildren and two sisters, Mary and Carol. Preceding Bob in death were his parents, a grandson, Jacob, a step son, Mike Shaffer and a brother Richard. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home, Colfax, Iowa 14 Aug 2020.
