Wm. Hay Dies
Colfax Tribune – William Hay, well known Civil War veteran of Mingo passed away at five o’clock Tuesday afternoon at his home following an illness of ten days duration. While in failing health for some time he did not become serious until recently.
He has spent the greater part of his life in Mingo where he was known as a stock buyer. He also bought a good many horses, even as late as the World War, buying horses for the government.
He was 77 years of age at the time of his passing and besides his wife, leaves two sons who live at Spooner, Wisconsin, and one daughter whose home is in Arizona.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon March 29th at the Methodist church in Mingo.
