Funeral services for Barbara H. Stanley Bell, 68, of 11091 Hwy. T-38 South, Lynnville, a longtime resident of the Lynnville and Sully communities, were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton.
Captain Nancy Cramer of the Newton Salvation conducted the services.
Interment was in Palo Alto Cemetery in rural Newton.
Memorials in her name will be accepted.
She died of kidney failure Tuesday evening, April 2, 1996, at her home.
Survivors are her husband, William A. Sr.; two sons, William A. Jr. of rural Lynnville and John of Sioux City; three daughters, Belinda (Mrs. Larry) Snook of LeGrand, Opal (Mrs. Larry) Hanson of Newton and Jean Rumley of Cambridge, IL; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Fred Stanley of Newton and John Stanley of California; and three sisters, Racheal Evans of Newton, Charlene Cramer of Marshalltown and Grace Peters of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clair and Charles; a son, Terry; and a sister, Christina.
Mrs. Bell, a homemaker, attended the ladies’ meetings at the Salvation Army.
The daughter of Orville and Lucy Ferneau Stanley, she was born Jan. 6, 1928 in Grinnell.
She was married to William A. Bell on September 30, 1992 at Prairie City.
