Glen Wheeler Dies Saturday; Rites Tuesday
Colfax – Glen Allen Wheeler, 81, of Colfax died Saturday morning at the Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Jim Pemble, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Colfax, will conduct services. Burial will be in the McKeever Cemetery north of Colfax.
Survivors are his wife, Golda; two sons, Glen C. of Tucson, Ariz., and Alan K. of Colfax; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
Mr. Wheeler had been employed at the Maytag Co. until 1948 when he went into a dirt moving operation.
The son of John and Mary Harden Wheeler, he was born Jan. 16, 1899 in Carnsforth.
He was married to Golda Saum July 9, 1942 in Lancaster, Mo.
